Want to change CCW modes/wardrobe

I've carried IWB for years with Hawaiian shirts and sweaters. I'm getting tired of looking like a slob. To complicate things, I carry a Makarov, so availability may be an issue.

I'm looking for ideas on how I can carry with a tucked shirt, a modicum of comfort, and reasonable access to my weapon. I'd love to hear about any experience you guys have.

Here are some things I've considered:

Smartcarry doesn't seem comfortable, though I imagine with training it could be reasonably quick to access.

5.11 has a holster shirt.

I have an elastic belly band. Not comfortable enough for every day use.

CC has mentioned a Kholster. How well does it really conceal? Are the clips very obvious? I'm thinking if I went that way, I'd go with the Crescent unless someone says differently.

Kangaroo Carry has some options. Blackeagle603 posted about something like it here. I'm pretty sure I saw a guy wearing one once - it looked like he had bra strap bumps on the backs of his shoulders.

What other possibilities am I missing?

Would a jacket/decent vest work?

I sympathize w. getting tired of being a slob - its my main motivation for supporting OC.

Guyaberas can work, and look decent untucked, but you have to get a good one, to not look like a Mexican waiter - fortunately, even custom silk ones aren't that much.

JJ Racaza advocates for a 5-0 Holster he developed.

It looks like it might work well. I'm tempted to try it, but a bit worried - w. the things I've done to my low back, the thunder wear I tried was misery.

Is that your weapon, or are you just happy to see me? 8-)

There are a bunch of companies such as Galco that either make tuckable IWB holsters or have attachments to convert some of their holsters to tuckable.

I'd like to, but probably not. I get too hot. In the winter, people tend to over heat indoor spaces.

I think they're not different enough from Hawaiian shirts for me.

That looks interesting, as long as its nickname isn't "WeinerSchutzen."

Also as far as cover garments I usually just wear a T-Shirt or a Dickies work shirt or similarly collared shirt over my gun.

I think I'm leaning that way unless I can find a really good Kangaroo type option.

My problem with tuckables is that they seem pretty easy to spot. Some of my friends have them. It could be that I know they're there, but one friend has had a cop ask him what he's carrying.

Maybe one just needs to learn how to use them properly.

What kind of belt are you (and i suppose your friends) using?

Tails out. But I'm 27 and live in AZ. Perhaps you have different dress standards where you live.
