load info

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

I am in the process of doing a complete build(and I do mean complete) of a Mauser 71/84 and when the parts arrive a 88 commission rifle.
I am looking for load data for either or both.
I havent done anything like this in many years so I'm a little out of date.
Any help anyone has will be appreciated.

The 71/84 would be a case full of 2 or 3f black powder. Make sure there is no air gap. There probably are smokeless loads using pistol powder, but I am not that familiar with.
The 88 would use smokeless.

8x57 converted commission rifle .323

8x57 .318 bore

If you want to keep pressures down check out IMR's Trail Boss. You may have to extrapolate the loads but the powder's low pressure enough to do so easily.

71/84
