Anyone have any experience w. these? There doesn't seem to be much info on the intartubes.
It's intended host would be a converted Saiga 7.62x39.

The problem is the 33mm rings. There are only 2 options that I could find for that RDS, the low rings which come with it or a $200 high QD ring. Depending on the rifle you mount it to, neither may be right for a good cheek weld. You'd probably be better off with a Vortex or even one of the
Primary Arms Aimpoint clones with a discounted mount.
I had a PFI RR800 10x on a rifle(since sold) that was a quality scope. You do however run into them not sticking with a product long. The RDS you linked was originally listed on SWFA for $360 or so. Not moving any of them dropped the price to about $200. Now they are up on Woot for $130. It is still listed at $450 on PFI's site so they would think you are getting a screaming deal. Whether they will handle any warranty claims down the road is still unknown.

I could always get a Picitinny riser if the mount was too low. But if the rings are crap to begin with, I'm pretty much SOL.

Yeah, the rings that come with it seem rather cheap.
This is the upgraded ring, but cost more than the sight itself.
