Night vision question

These worth the price of admission? I recall using them but for the life of me am not sure if the money would be better spent elsewhere.

That Fero NV gear that CC linked to turns up reasonably frequently on the
German Government-Surplus auction site. It's always marked "military goods - export licence required". If they granted licences, they must reckon that it's not likely to be very useful anymore.

That about sums it up. I personally wouldn't waste my money on anything without a micro channel plate (Gen II, III, III+)
