FYI:

Battery Junction is running the Terralux Lightstar 220 for $25.95, regular price was $45.95.
The TerraLUX LightStar220 has CREE XE-E P4 LED that is sure to please. Running for about 1 hour on 2 economical AA batteries, the LightStar is a model of efficiency and value.

A simple 2-stage reverse click switch selects brightness levels: click it on for high, then toggle back and forth between high and low with a soft press (pushing the switch without clicking). The 220 lumen output on high is sure to provide enough light for the job. Great for use around the house as your "go-to" flashlight or to keep in the car for emergencies.

Looks like a good light. I'm moving away from CR123 powered lights and buying AA because of battery availability and cost.

I have a lot of luck with the rechargeable ones. Plus at a buck a pop it is not too expensive if for some reason you can't charge them. Just don't go to Target or similar and pay $6.95 apiece!

Battery Junction has the Titanium Innovations CR123A batteries for $1 each, all the time. I've had good service from them. I usually make a bulk order of various batteries when I order, to save shipping costs.

Yeah, I've had good luck w. the Titanium CR123s. They seem to last as long as Panasonics or Surefires.

But AAs are still MUCH cheaper (but don't last as long). Like CC, I have some rechargeables that work well and my local grocery often has loss leader sales on alkalines. I've been able to stock up on them for 12 cents each.

eneloops. You want them.

Rechargeable lithiums are potentially very dangerous, especially the really cheap ones.

Saw them at Costco. I'll pick them up next time I'm there.
