AR sling advice PLEASE!

I need a sling for my AR. I have a standard sling mount front and rear:
To be honest, I'm just overwhelmed. There's so much out there, and not much way to 'try it all on' before buying.
I'm not interested in Kool-Aid right now, but I do want a way to carry my rifle around all day without it scraping the skin of my neck and arm. Anyone want to pipe in with a specific product? A link would even be appreciated.

It depends on what you want to do with the sling. You'll probably end up with several.
I have G.I. slings, single point slings, and Ching Slings. I use mostly the first two. Specialty tactical slings can take some practice to be used effectively.

I have no military experience. I bought a sling for two gun and SHTF.
I bought an adjustable Vicker's two point at a show ($45.00). It's thick so it doesn't twist. Adjusts easily and smoothly with a single pull for transitions and level of clothing. I can choke a cow with it it's so heavily constructed.
I can sling it in front, in back, on the side or around the neck for competition.
Works great!

The
VTAC and aforementioned
Vickers are considered to be the shit right now. I built my own out of some straps and buckles I had laying around though. These kinds of slings are easy to use and work really well.

Too bad it has plastic buckles. Those ALWAYS fail. I have broken so many I ought to start a blog. Why will all the money spent on Low Speed High Drag stuff do very few use freaking metal?
Although in Texas I don't have the problem, in the colder weather elsewhere I have cracked many a buckle in my day. That and crappy positive lock. Bleh.
BTW let me be the first to welcome you to our forums. Don't mind my bitching.

Ug, just forgot to mention, what's up with the buffer tube sling mount? That looks like it will jam a charging handle toot sweet.
Ask me how I know sometime.

It is unlikely these buckles will break.
As the website states, the included buffer tube sling mount is not the best solution. A static point is ideal. The fabric sling point that ships with the IAS will work if installed correctly, but again... a rigid attachment point is best.
Anyone thinking about the IAS may find this 3rd party review helpful:

The metal ones no, I bet those are solid. Plastic fails eventually. With a plastic buckle you often need to wrap it in tape so it does not fail all of a sudden and drop your weapon. Otherwise the system looks good from the video.
Question, are you the manufacturer or a rep? We don't mind folks bringing us new gear to try but we like a disclosure first. That way folks can know upfront and no one gets bounced for spam in a private forum. If you are, and are up front about it I would be much obliged. I would even accept a sample to review and would give an honest review of it. For those who know me know I am fairly qualified to speak on tactical gear and give honest feedback.

Yes, I am affiliated with the Manufacturer.
That is why I posted a 3rd party review.
I would be happy to answer any questions.
