I think Malibu Rum and Coke is just the bee's knees.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

No wonder your projects turn out so "different"........CombatController wrote:That's Fast Ropes and my drink of choice for WECSOGery.workinwifdakids wrote:I think Malibu Rum and Coke is just the bee's knees.

I bought the sub-2000 in .40. Saw one at an Evil gun show. Less than $300 out the door...so she followed me home.
Currently I have a duct taped customized cardboard box (with customized foam) for concealment in the truck. It also did great duty between the car and the hotel room during our Tenn trip. It isn't even close to the correct solution, but it works for now.

Re: Covert rifle carry
In a previous life, I have actually had occasions to covertly carry a rifle, 4 mags, a BHP plus extra mag, and some Coms gear. Once I got over the feeling that EVERYBODY was looking at me, and got used to the idea of walking around town with that much firepower, I found it quickly became a bit of a pain in the ass. Mercifully the rifle was a bullpup and Coms equipment the size of a small backpack.
Anyhoo, here's my take on the situation: Camouflage and concealment is not just a green/brown thing. We looked about the local town to see what everybody else was walking about with. So just as you would want the right kind of foliage hiding you in the bondoo, you would want the right kind of bag for the town you expect to be in. If it is a Uni town, backpacks are the order of the day. Luckily for us, there was an airport nearby, so biiiig bags were not out of place. I ended up using a normal sports bag, stuck out like a saw finger, but we just brazened it out and I 'think' we were not dicked.
But were I to really have to hide stuff in the open, I think that a photographer's bag or holdall would have been a great idea. They make some really strange shaped bags for camera equipment and tripods etc. If you hang a camera around your neck the disguise is complete and has the added ability to allow you through police lines, past bouncers/security and seems to distance you from the 'action' going on around you. Honestly, a camera, backpack and a baseball cap, and you cease to exist to those around you. Very useful in a riot
or some other serious incident.
Finally, have you considered Art and Poster carriers? A bit pricey from the address below, but it is a place to start.

Clever, thanks.
I remember a Secret Service guy dressed with a camera bag, at some point he reached into the bag and pulled out a Treasury Cap and I peeked in and saw his Uzi. Very discreet.

I went to my local range (redneck edition) last week to test fire it.
(self edited for language)
some county police officer was haranguing a group of young adults while 2 other officers looked on with mild entertainment. I put my truck in park about 150 yards away and walked to about 50 yards to see if there was a serious incident or if we would be able to shoot once the issue was resolved.
Long (polite version) story short. Said angry police officer switched her fount of bile towards me and began verbally assaulting me about the lead pollution, the mercury poisoning of the ground caused by us evil shooters and there would be no further shooting out here as the DEP and EPA were in process of declaring it a hazardous waste dump, that the land owner was very angry at us shooters for this. In further conversation, she proudly announced that she was the one that called the DEP and EPA because in a 4 mile radius she had found 4 computer monitors with bullet holes in them and through amazing detective work figured out where we shoot at.
I informed her, that she was barracading a county road and that no less than 12 individuals each own 1.25 acre plats in the immediate area. If she would please tell me which one of them was forbidding use of their land without posting "no trespassing" signs, I would gladly use the other land. She really blew her top at that point. For the record, I was polite and mildly inquisitive throughout the entire exchange. One of the other police actually stepped over to the fellow officer and whispered something to her then turned to me and said, we are going to be here a while. You should leave.
Short version-- its gonna take me a bit to get out to the real range and actually fire it. I may even have to wait until next weekend when I go up to hunting camp to test fire it. But it will be tested.
