Yep, agree fully and they are on my 'never more' list which is sad because I bought some cool items and surplus from them over the years. But you can see the particular ammo there even though its shorter than your request, and find another vendor for it, I'm sure. I may try to find some too to see if it works better than the Aguila in the c'97.Yogimus wrote:Fuck CTD. For real. For fun. For the butt. I am still signed up for their mailer, and it if fun to watch them try to act like the fucking palladin of the second amendment.

Re: Riot Gun Configuration: Is It Ever Desirable?
I did a Google search to jog my memory of what it was CTD was supposed to have done, and one of the links struck me as an ultimate irony. A thread on the Smith and Wesson forum, discussing how everybody needs to boycott CTD. As though anything CTD has done even compares with what S&W did under their previous ownership, or what the current owners have done in the past against our rights.
To the best of my knowledge, all that CTD did was change some prices on their website, and suspend sales of some products temporarily. Compared with S&W, which actually did make an anti-rights deal with the Clinton administration (which to the best of my knowledge, they have never repudiated). And their current owners lobbied the .gov in an effort to get their hammer locks made mandatory, industry wide. To be fair, S&W did pay for that with a massive boycott, and they have been trying to live that down ever since then.
But, hardly ever a word about Saf-T-Hammer (owners of S&W) and their disgusting "marketing" tactic, and even the hate that was justifiably directed at Bill Ruger's betrayal of the second amendment, seems to have been less than what is now directed at CTD over their pricing policies or what products they choose to offer for sale. It makes no sense at all. I can understand not wanting to do business with them if they aren't offering a good deal, but to lump them in with enemies of the second is kind of stupid.

Political dealings are abstract, prices are felt personally.

Until you want to buy something that has become unavailable due to politics, or have to take something that isn't what you want because it is all that you are allowed to buy. Witness the thread I made about all the extra shit I have had to go through because the Russians are forced to neuter their rifles in order to export to the US. I could think of a lot of other things to have done with the time and money I have spent fixing my rifle.Jericho941 wrote:Political dealings are abstract, prices are felt personally.

True, but you're in a relatively small niche. AR owners make up a far larger demographic (even "S&W customers" is a fraction of the size) and CTD's shenanigans is also amplified by timing; it happened when widespread use of the Internet is far more common. It's also an Internet business, so word travels even faster. It was immediately when there was another wave of panic buying with gun owners hypersensitive to any sign of betrayal. The act in question might've been less significant, but its impact was immediate and widely recognized.

I'm not sure if one extra shell in the magazine is worth losing three pellets per shell. You might be better off getting into the habit of topping off the magazine whenever you get the chance.Rich Jordan wrote:Nobelsport 2-1/4" 00 buckshot
I expect they're available from a more honorable vendor

Yup, Rule #1: Don't betray your customer/voter/audience base. It rarely turns out well. It didn't for NASCAR, either.Jericho941 wrote:True, but you're in a relatively small niche. There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.
