Most of what you see being used locally seems to be Dewalt for cordless stuff, and Milwaukee for stuff with cords(although the Skilsaw wormdrive saws are fairly popular).
If you absolutely have to have the best battery operated tools - Hilti is the way to go, but it's pricey.
