Hi Mike, good to "see" you again and to "hear" your comments.
Other than guns , boats are my favorite thing (now that I am too old to chase blondes)
I recently helped some friends sail a boat from Newport RI to Bermuda. The boat is a
Hallberg Rassey 49, a well built boat from Sweden. Bermuda is a very civil place but totally anti gun. They do have good rum there however!

The trip down was five days, we stayed two weeks and sailed another boat back in four days, a bigun, it was a 65' motorsailor and we motored most of the way. Diesels are a beautiful thing when you need them.
I'm still sore..ocean sailing is a younger mans game.

They do have good rum there however!

FF, I'm remiss in welcoming you to the new site. I'm glad you made it!

Oh yeah, I think the 65'er was probably much more comfortable than the 49'er, especially if it was a diesel motor yacht. It's much easier to turn into the swells if you're on a powerboat than a sailboat. I'd agree with you, especially to a certain degree about the younger man's game, but you might find things differently if you're on something even larger than 65' (preferably over 100 foot) - but you need a LOT of money for things like that.

I miss being on the water, and if I could own my own slip (instead of renting), I might even prefer living on a boat (except for when it needs to be hauled out and cleaned).
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

I have had several Brinkmanns as well as G2's and they are identical as far as abuse goes so far. That included my now lost torture test.

Brinkmann $16 at Target.

$36 is the going rate at any of the big stores e.g. Cabela's, Sportsmans Warehouse...

I have one, and the only thing I don't like about it is the switchology, I prefer a tailcap setup where you press hard to activate and press slightly for momentary. The G6 you have to twist the endcap to activate, if you adjust it just right, you can use the end button for momentary.
