I have serious doubts about this product. If it's anything like the solar landscape lights previously referred to, it's not going to light up very much at all. The amount of light is greatly decreased by the temperature, the season, and the amount of light it receives.
I would say that it's not very good for a backpacker, where the cap will spend a less than ideal amount of time in direct sunlight. I'd rather just buy one that uses batteries.
