I've gotten interested lately in the Mantis X dry fire set up. Their Blackbeard looks interesting as well. And their Laser Academy.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

No experience, but I've been more interested in the idea lately. If you end up with something let us know how it works out.

Re: Dry fire toys
I have the basic Mantis X I bought at a gun show a couple years ago.
Its interesting, but is cumbersome having to Bluetooth it to a pad.
You guys used to smart phones would likely not find that to be a problem.
The "apps" like you to be online for full function.
The additional accessories could be more fun, but the price keeps going up and getting all of it would be new gun money.
Live fire is still way more fun than any dry fire (you can use the mantis X with live fire if you want).
These can be handy for dry fire with pistols without a hammer.

Re: Dry fire toys
I just got all the Mantis stuff with some unspent bonus money. I saw a Jerry Miculek video where he praised the X10. That was good enough for me.
MantisX10 - quite interesting. I've mostly just used the Open Training portion so far, dry fire. It lets you know where the muzzle went during trigger press and after the firing pin strike. I've used it on several guns so far, and I'd previously had NO idea how different the triggers were. You can do holster draw analysis with it, if your holster will hold the device. Or attach it to the bottom of the mag. Liking it a lot so far.
Mantis Blackbeard X - replaces charging handle and bcg, battery goes in mag well. Works the same with the Mantis X app. I got the one with the laser to see if it will work with the...
Mantis Laser Training Academy - phone camera points at targets with QR marks on the corner. Laser cartridge goes in bore. It scores your hits on the targets. I kind of wonder if you could just buy a laser cartridge, download their app, and print their targets. But it comes with 2 tripods and some other stuff. Has a "marksmanship course" where you put up different targets and shoot for score before you can move on. The dot torture test was hard to get through. I suppose it's a live action video game.
I've had it for about 5 days, so I haven't put it or me through all the paces yet. It makes dry fire a lot more fun and gives some feedback, so I've enjoyed it so far. Haven't tried live fire with the X10 yet, but I'm looking forward to that.
I think it will get me dry firing a lot more, so I'm satisfied.

Looks interesting. I'd have to go with the bore laser one for the hi-power.
I've been trying to decide if I want to get a more modern pistol with a rail for a light. Haven't found a AIWB kydex holster for my weird argentine hi-power yet. I'm considering getting some kydex and trying my hand at making my own holster if I don't go with a new pistol.

Re: Dry fire toys
I have the basic Mantis setup and the app. I like it quite a bit. I got a sabot so I could use it with a .38 revolver and I picked up a TTrigger resetting magazine to use with the Mantis on my Glock 19. I wish I had more free time to spend on dry fire, but I like the Mantis system.
