Good prices on gear

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

From posts on ar15.com, most of the USMC chest rigs do not come with the harness. Mine did not. But, it looks like it can be easily adapted to attach to the USMC hydration bladder pack that uncle sam has on sale for $10. Or the marpat assault pack shoulder strap might be adaptable, but it's $15. Or for a couple bucks more, the blackhawk webgear harness would probably work.

Got the USMC Source bladder thing in yesterday, and it does match up to the USMC chest rig. Did have to change out the male buckle on the bottom for female ones, but luckily my chest rig came with two QASM female buckles, so no sewing was needed. Added a slider thing to keep the new QASM from sliding around. Not sure if that was necessary, may take it off and try it without.

for $35 total, plus raiding my parts box, not a bad deal.

If you need QASM buckles, mil-spec monkey has them in stock for $1 each, or 8 for $10

Also, y'all know tactical tailor sells their extra stock/discontinued stuff, at greyghostgear.com, right?
