Dewey.

There are better rods, but they have such a huge price premium over the Dewey's, that it isn't worth while.

purchased a .30 cal dewey. Works great.

Now I broke my .22 cal rod. Should have made it a clean sweep (yeah bad pun) as it will be quite difficult to clean my AR and the host of .22s I have.

next month Dewey is getting more business.

Bore snakes and the Otis style cleaning cords are fairly effective. (So is 550 cord with some knots in it) The otis cable is VERY handy for .22-s, where you can't get a lot of space between the chamber and the bolt.

I have a bore snake that I am using. But after some serious shooting I definitely need something a bit better than my snake to get the barrel shiny. Not urgent but still a need.

I really like Tipton for cleaning rods.
And may I say, from a moral point of view, I think there can be no justification for shoving snack cakes up your action.

Dewey and bore snake. I keep a couple bore snakes in my range bag for a quick run-thru during a range session if I need it. My .22 boltie pretty much only gets cleaned with a rod every few trips, it gets the snake after every trip.

I'd say Dewey, but that would just be redundant.

I've got a 6mm Dewey and it works for everything except my .22s.

What MarkD said........ Handguns and .22 rifles get the Boresnake after each use, with "better" cleaning on a periodic basis with rod and brushes. (BTW, I use Ed's Red for my "standard" cleaning solution...)
