I bought a pair of LL Bean big-game-hunting boots a couple years ago and really like them. I bought them for commuting from NJ to NYC daily, I've walked thru snow, puddles, and everything between and my feet stayed warm and dry. The only issue I have with them is they're a bit higher than I like/need, but they're warm, dry and comfortable.
