Simmons Whitetail Classic Scope

This scope gets consistently high reviews from Midway customers.

My next rifle purchase is a Savage in .17 HMR (I have one in .22 lr and one in .17 M2 and love them both). So I am looking at glass right now. I don't want to cheap-out, but if this scope is as good as everyone says, I may consider it.

Anyone have any experience with these?

They're not bad at all.
Simmons like Tasco has their basement models and their higher end stuff. These are a pretty good scope for light to middle recoiling rifles.
I wouldn't put it on a FAL or M-1A but then the M-1a is a notorious scope eater. At least in my circles.

For the price you could do a lot worse.
