Interesting but not really a huge surprise to anyone with the barest knowledge of ballistics. Which is one reason said activity is usually the domain of complete boobs.

Interesting. My only question: Does the bullet actually "turn down" like a football would, or does it maintain its rotation and act more like a gyroscope?

Someone years ago, was making a bolt action which used a 45ACP case, and a very long, dart stabilized bullet.

The main issue was that it stayed stable

If you get far enough offshore it's probably safe enough.

White Sands Missile Range comes to mind. Actually, probably any range where the Army does artillery practice.
