Hi-Power Barrels compatability

Post by Combat Controller »

So... I finally cronked my mid 60's Hi-Power barrel at 90k+ rounds. Looking around they are very hard to find or very expensive. I was thinking those Turkish Hi-Powers look cheaper than the barrel by itself. So two questions...

1. Are they any good?

2. Will the barrel just swap out?

Anyone have any idea?

RE: #2 I have found (through experience with an Argentine HP) that the answer is sometimes. IIRC my Argie barrel will swap with my early 80's Belgian, but the slides will not.

Have you looked at EFK Fire Dragon barrels?

...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Yeah, they have been out of stock for 2 years now. I may just have to go buy a custom $390 one.
