Given the current political reality, I think it is wise to purchase the additional firearms now, not later. What do you all think I need to fill in the gaps and in what order should I buy them?
What I currently have:
2 M1 Garands
3 M1 Carbines
1 Swiss K-31
5 22LR (Ruger American Bolt Action, 2 Marlin 60s, S&W AR15-22, Remington Pump 22)
1 12 gauge semi auto
2 20 gauge pump
Ruger Mark II pistol
Bursa Thunder .380
What should I buy next?

Pistols in 9mm and .45ACP, rifle in AK pattern and AR15 for sure.
And ammo, ammo, and more ammo. Metric shit-tons if possible. Components also count if you handload.
Did I mention metric shit-tons of ammo and components?

Ditto on the ARs and/or AKs. Surprised you don't already have some.

Seriously. Anderson stripped lowers are about as cheap as they'll ever be. At least get some serial numbers squirreled away for a later build.

NFA firearms on a trust, while the getting is still good. The deadline to file before 41F goes into effect is July 13... You'll still be able to do it after that date, but it will be more of a pain in the ass because each trustee will be required to submit fingerprints and photographs. Oh, and while e-filing is relatively convenient and a little faster in wait time, paper forms are your friend from here on out. I am going to be making a post on this subject in another thread in a bit.

Re: What should I buy next?
Here's my list of what you need:
-12 Gauge Pump (with 18.5 inch barrel.)
-.308 bolt gun
-.308 semi auto (I'm a big fan of a PTR-91. For $100 or so, you can get a lifetime supply of magazines.)
-AK in 7.62x39 or SKS
-AR-15
-Semi-auto 9mm pistol (Glock, Ruger, S&W, or Beretta are good choices)
-Semi-auto .45 ACP pistol
-.357 mag revolver (Ruger)
-Mosin-Nagant rifle
-.22 revolver
I would get the Mosin-Nagant first, since they aren't going to do anything but go up in price. You need a pump action 12 gauge. Get the AR-15.
Also buy as many magazines as you can afford.
You should also buy a reloading press and learn to reload and by ammo.

Whatever floats your boat. All the panic buying hasn't amounted to anything except running up prices. You have a good battery of arms. I would lean to getting full capacity ccw pistol type stuff, you seem light there. Glock, Smith, whatever you like. I predict the word "preban" may re-enter the gunny lexicon.
I also strongly advise any shooter to invest in a basic reloading setup and a pound or three of powder and some bricks of various primers. Save your brass.

Definitely need some full size pistols in there, an AR, and ammo.

Absolutely. Glock or M&P in either 9mm or .45.JustinR wrote:Definitely need some full size pistols in there, an AR, and ammo.
A quality AR-15. You don't have to go crazy, just make certain that it's not garbage before you can't get one again.
