Huh:
Ruger® Silent-SR™, A 22 LR Suppressor designed and built by Ruger.

The Ruger® Silent-SR™ sound suppressor features best-in-class materials and advanced design, resulting in a lightweight, compact size and top-tier sound reduction. It was designed and built by Ruger utilizing the very latest in fluid dynamic simulation and computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining equipment. The Ruger® Silent-SR™ is easy to disassemble and clean. Each piece snaps together to seal the baffles and keep the byproducts of combustion away from the tube and end caps. It is also strong and light, utilizing a titanium tube, aluminum rear cap, and stainless steel threaded mount, baffles and front cap. Ruger has selected the best material for each part to maximize strength and minimize weight without sacrificing durability.

Titanium tube, and it only ends up being 2/10 of an ounce lighter than a Sparrow? Meh.

Looks spiffy!
Patent-pending outer tube and muzzle mount are interlocked to prevent accidental disassembly when removing the suppressor from your firearm. Disassembly tool is included.
Danger, Will Robinson! Requires funky tools, which will inevitably not be to hand when required. Expect to see mole-grip marks on the fancy black finish...

The Octane 45 I'll be adding to the armory uses its own piston as the disassembly tool. 8-)

That looks nice! https://silencerco.com/products/octane/

I just hope their QC is better than their proofreading of the manual for that unit...

The Octane is one of the products that SiCo got when they bought SWR. Looks like they are still using SWR's manual.

First it was high cap OEM magazines.
And now factory-sanctioned suppressors?
It's almost like Bill Ruger is actually dead, they got rid of the Fudds on the board of directors, and the firm is giving the faintest nod to giving customers what they've clamored for, for a paltry 60 years.
Next thing, you'll be telling us that SR&Co actually reads their mail.

And there are how many major gun manufacturers making suppressors now?

Remington does, and I hear they are kind of big. Sig isn't a small concern either. Pretty sure HK makes them too, just off the top of my head.

You have to start small with this, most days it's hard enough to get them to make guns.
