CZ/Dan Wesson 10mm Longslide 1911

Post by Darrell »

I know there are some 10mm fans here, I thought you might find this interesting--CZ/Dan Wesson is coming out with a 10mm longslide 1911. Looks sharp:

Key specs include a 6.3″ match-grade barrel (.2″ longer than the MOS Glock 40 we reviewed) and built-in adjustable sights (front is fiber optic and the rear is tritium). Safeties are right-hand only. Unfortunately for defensive-oriented users, the frames do not look to have a rail mounting system (which is a real travesty to me, these days, especially at the price). Fortunately, there is at least front and rear cocking serrations and both the front and back-straps are checkered.

Per CZ, the handgun is oriented for “hunters”, which would seem to be the only users given the cartridge and sight configuration. Handgun weight is not listed, but it is expected to be among the heavy handguns available today given CZ’s history of using steel frames and slides.

That's a hand cannon. Price is expected to be $2,000 or so.

Shiny! Thanks. Reminds me a lot of the looks of a CZ97 (their big .45 pistol).

I'm still waiting for a CZ-97B in 10mm.

My bank account cringes at the thought.

Oooh... pretty. Add another one to the lottery list. That's a lot of F-you in a very attractive package.

Beautiful.

But I'd prefer more rounds on tap than you get with a single stack mag.

Still waiting for Springfield to make an XD-10....

That CZ97 in 10mm is kind of neat.
