So much for that, I guess. I doubt they can stay in business if their market is reduced to people who are willing to Form 1 a lower.

I sent the above link to my gunsmith friend who made me aware of the Can Cannon in the first place, and he seemed to think that changing the chamber so the throat is too short to accept live ammo, should fix this. Or putting a block in the barrel, though that could be bad if a live round did manage to find its way in.

It's tough for me to buy a fun time upper when I think I could put together a 300 AAC upper for the same, or nearly the same, cost.

Other than that, yep, ATF sucking the fun out of everything.

Why even bring something like this up to them? You know what the answer will be and their logic is illogical.
one can be a Democrat, or one can choose to be an American.
Good acting requires an imagination; reality requires a person not getting lost in their imagination.

actually their logic kinda makes sense - remove the threaded plug in "barrel, and you have an SBR. How it.would make.a.pistol.lower an aow,.I have no idea. A slight redesign will make it legal.

My understanding was that the barrel was blocked, and it was a weld or machined in, not just screwed in.

Not judging by the pictures I saw on Arfcom - they had ports on the end, with a setscrew pluging the end of it, likely so that it can be removed to clean the barrel.

I'm curious about how that may effect a golf ball launcher. Similar I suspect. Well, crap, take the wind outta my sails.....

They didnt say destructive device, but short barrel, so golf ball launcher should be fine.

Golf ball launcher is just a muzzle device that goes on an existing rifle, so it should be fine.
