Kel-Tec showed off their new gen Sub2k earlier in the year, and it seems to have finally hit the streets.
I haven't had the chance to see one in person, but the new gen seem to have improved front sights, a better front handgrip with molded in rails, a new stock adjustable for LOP and a few other little niceties.
Possibly they've managed to get production sorted out because I've seen them at more 'normal' prices, not at the scarcity markup.

The third gen KT PCC yes, but their first gen PCC wasn't called Sub2000, rather iirc Sub9. Even though it was their 2nd gen PCC, the Sub2k was the first gen Sub2k, kind of by definition.slowpoke wrote:wouldn't that be thier third gen, since the sub2k was a second gen already?

Saw one in .40 in Idaho. For less than $400, I think. If it would have been in 9mm, I would have snagged it.

I haven't seen one at my local gun shops yet. One of those in .40 set up for Glock compatibility and some 22-round magazines, you could have the start of a nice bug-out bag.

Re: Sub2K second generation
I had one of the .40 Sub 2ks, and I sold it because it felt like a piece of shit.
I also hate the fucking .40 S&W cartridge, too.
Oh, and also, damn all glocks.

Any pointers to 226-compatible high capacity (like 20+ round) .40 mags that *aren't* promag crap, would be appreciated.

Re: Sub2K second generation
I'm waiting on the M&P version coming next year. I had been looking to find one in 9mm set up for the Model 59 mags, and a Model 59, so I could have mag compatibility from back-up to carbine, starting with my P-11 and working up. (Glock's grip angles just don't feel right to me, otherwise I'd do it the easy way...)

Closest I've found has been Mec-Gar's 15-rounders, and they aren't cheap.Greg wrote:Any pointers to 226-compatible high capacity (like 20+ round) .40 mags that *aren't* promag crap, would be appreciated.

Yep. And I have a fundamental aversion to extended base plates.SoupOrMan wrote:Closest I've found has been Mec-Gar's 15-rounders, and they aren't cheap.Greg wrote:Any pointers to 226-compatible high capacity (like 20+ round) .40 mags that *aren't* promag crap, would be appreciated.
