For years I've said that if I were restricted to just one handgun, I'd get a Ruger Redhawk in .45 Colt, have the cylinder machined to accept moon clips, and run both Colt and ACP rounds through it.
Now they're offering one from the factory, already machined, and selling for less than the price of a good used car.
Dammit! The toy fund is gonna take another hit!

I saw that. Interesting gun, but the grips look small.

I think I'm in love.
Wonder if it will be available/on-list in CA.

For some reason, they saw fit to make the grip frame a round-butt instead of the usual square-bottom version. That's okay, though, since it's a stainless handgun, which cries out for rubber grips from Hogue or Pachmayr.Darrell wrote:I saw that. Interesting gun, but the grips look small.

Round butt and a 4.2" barrel? That's a feature not a bug for social situations.
Nothing a Tyler T-grip wouldn't take care of.

OK, I'm a little confused. (Its okay, I'm used to it.)
The .45 Colt version is CA-approved, but the .45 ACP/.45 Colt isn't. Is it just because it's too new to get approval, or is there another reason that I don't get?

Heck, I've put Pachmayrs on nearly every Ruger revolver I own.First Shirt wrote:For some reason, they saw fit to make the grip frame a round-butt instead of the usual square-bottom version.
