Started my AR-10 clone build and I'm using PSA for the upper/lower. I had to get their lower parts kit, obviously, but everything else should be standard fare. Not impressed with the QA/QC of the parts kit (bolt catch hole is too small in diameter), but the ALG Defense ACT fire control group is top notch. I'm an AK guy, so for a battle rifle the trigger is grrat - crisp and I don't mind the 5-6lb break.
Finish is as expected, the forging seems to have meat where it needs it, and the Hogue grip fit well enough. I like the relocation of the rear takedown spring (above grip), but I expected the bolt catch pin to be replaced with an Allen head like so many others have done. Still, at $130 for the stripped DPMS-pattern lower, it's not too shabby.
More to come after I figure out barrel and foregrip selection... to suppress, or not to suppress - that is my question.

If it's really that heavy, then your AK has a better trigger than your AR.

Yeah, I was thinking that. The Red Star Arms trigger for the AK pretty much rocks.Netpackrat wrote:If it's really that heavy, then your AK has a better trigger than your AR.

Did you finish the build? I have all the parts (bought everything from PSA) but haven't assembled them yet.
I wanted to put a Geissele SSA in it, but tech support said they are a no-go unless the hammer is modified. Maybe I'll throw in the single stage ACT.
