I'm back.
Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.

Welcome home!
I occasionally see your name come up on other gun forums, in regards to stock repair, and realize that it's been awhile.

Re: I'm back.
I don't take in much stock work these days, but I still help out a good bit of people. I spend about one to two hours a week on the phone, going over repairs. Plus I have over 40 project guns of my own that I need to work on.
My regular job has been keeping me pretty busy and then I have a side business, with my youngest son, making Paracord Bracelets.
I've had to slow down on the amount of guns I buy, due to running out of room to put them.

Re: I'm back.
Welcome back. If you are not doing much stock work these days, can you recommend somebody? My great grandfather's model 1897 Winchester shotgun has a crack in the stock where it mounts to the receiver. I would like, if possible, to have that repaired without harming the patina any more than necessary, so that the gun may continue to be used occasionally. I haven't wanted to fire it since I discovered the crack.

Welcome back! I must admit I was relieved to find that this thread had no photos that would awaken the green-eyed jealousy monster.

Re: I'm back.
Yes I have been working on AR.
Here aer the ones I have in the works.
#1 The Gray Ghost
I'm waiting on the Magpul gray furniture to show up to start the build.

#2 The Purple People Eater
My daughter wanted me to build her a pink AR and I said no.
I have the upper, lower and quad rail at the shop to have them Cerakoted Purple.
I started off with a PSA Ptac rifle I got on sale for under $300.
It will get a black Magpul MOE buttstock and grip.

#3 The Spartan Billet Build.
I have the barrel, Black Nitride AR carbine barrel in 223 Wylde 1/8 Waiting on the 15" quad rail and need to find a flash hider with a cool look.

#4 Lone Survivor rifle build
Here is tha started rifle I built.

#5 GTA5 (Grand Theft Auto 5) Carbine.
It will look pretty close to this.

I will try and do a post on each build.
And I still working on my shop. I'm doing all the walls with Toung and grove pine.
