Gunshop fun...

I just spent a very agreeable morning at the gunshop with a bunch of new shooters (ten of them and two coaches, including your humble correspondent).

Much oohh-ing and aaahhh-ing, hefting, sighting, dry-firing and general tyre-kicking ensued...

Results - ten happy campers and a happy gunshop (inventory down by two rifles, two handguns and a stack of ammunition and accessories).

What better way to pass a Saturday morning?

Oh gosh, getting to shoot said new guns? :)

Which reminds me, no BAG Day thread this year? I'll probably not get one this time around, tons of medical bills to pay first. :(

Never fear, I'll do that too. Probably tomorrow. :-) A like-new Glock 19C, and three old classics in .22: an FN Concours 150 pistol, and FN Trombone and Auto-22 rifles.

I found a lovely old Browning T-bolt this morning, which they put on layaway for me, so let's call that this year's BAG day purchase :-)

Can't afford one either. It would only give me "sour grapes" I haven't even shot since the fall.

My BAG day came a little early this year. Matching Ruger Vaqueros for me and my lady. Unfortunately, the Rosewood grips that came o the revolvers didn't fit her hand, so we swapped hers for some Gunfighter grips.

And, of course, she didn't like the color of the black rubber, so we sanded them down and painted hers. Now, there's no doubt whose pistol is whose.

I'm getting a house. Have to wait to fill it with guns later.

That's a great thing. Nothing better than being a home owner. Guns can wait.

I thought about getting something for BAG Day... but nothing really floated my boat. I did consider a Coonan, or maybe one of the Ruger Single Nines, the .22 wmr only revolvers. Meh.
