Ruger .327 Federal revolver

Post by First Shirt »

A 4-inch, adjustable sight, SP101. Stainless, with rubber grips.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a revolver that will chamber FOUR different rounds?

.32 S&W Short
.32 S&W Long
.32 H&R Mag
.327 Federal

Now all we need is a Marlin or Rossi (Winchester clone) to go along with it.

Yes it is.

Should also shoot .32acp, but the extractor may slip past the semi-rim when you eject the fired cases from the cylinder. Poke them out with a stick.

I dunno. The Boss's Rugers will handle .38 Super okay, without having to use a stick.

I don't know about this Ruger, but my S&W 632 will fire and eject .32 ACP just fine.

I think it was either Frosch or FastRope who suffered a severe case of the giggles after shooting .32 ACP and full power .327 Federal back-to-back out of it at the last Austin Shooting Fiesta a couple of years ago.

And yes, I would still love to see a factory rifle in .327 Federal, even though I'm going to get a custom barrel for my Contender.

Somebody says that Ruger SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum is a six-round, small frame, double-action revolver with a 4.2 inch barrel and adjustable sights. Built from stainless steel, this new model features a light-gathering front sight, windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, and a rubber grip with checkered hardwood inserts.

I wouldn't have any problem carrying a 3" sp101 in 327.

Somebody? Ruger said it, I think.

And welcome to the GC, Sheila! :)
