New gats for non-PAP Police in the PRC.

Ugly little thing, ain't it? Ammo is a proprietary knock-off of the .38 S&W. Also, is it just me, or is the safety on that thing set up to be as counter-intuitive as humanly possible?

Looks like an el cheapo, alright.
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Am I the only person who, after reading the subject and opening the thread, wondered why cops in California were being armed with revolvers?

A manual safety of any kind on a double-action revolver is as counter-intuitive as humanly possible.

At least it's got an all-steel frame. I wonder why they'd create a weak-sister cartridge for this; are they finally out of old-stock 7.62x25?

This reeks of "well we need to give the civilian police guns, but don't actually want to, so lets give them the crappiest guns we can. Oh an make up a new round for them so that we can control their ammunition supply" I don't understand why they don't just churn out a bunch more Maks. It would help the police out a bit without them really being able to fight the army or whatever they seem to be so worried about.

This seems to be designed to never ever ever be any danger to anyone wearing even the most crappy body armor.

Good point about controlling the ammo supply with a new, proprietary round.

You don't need much if all you're doing is executing people with a shot to the back of the head.
