1945 Turk K.Kale Short Rifle

I bought this one in the for sale forum last week over at SRF and it was waiting for me when I got home today.
It's a Turkish built 1945 K,Kale Short rifle with non matching parts.

It had brass screws in in the rear swivel and butt plate.

And an arsenal repair at the heel of the buttstock.

It has the correct type of bolt.

It is dirty and has a few issues, But I knew this when I bought it.
The handhuard was cracked and poorly repaired and is not fitted to the rifle.

But these are minor issues and can be fixed very easily.
I'll have to pull out my other Turkish Short Rifles for a group pic.
Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.

I have this vision of milsurp rifles sitting in a rack at a gun store, neglected, abused, bubba-ized and generally feeling miserable when one of them says to the others " Hey, cheer up guys, one day the Candyman will come for you "

That's where I was born :lol:

I always pounce on Candyman's postings when I see them but rarely comment. I love what he does with those beat up milsurps. Sympathetic restoration at it's best.

I have an 03A3 that I just finish getting the parts to finish it up. I still need to do a little cleaning on it. I will make a post on it.

Candyman,

Do you need a stock set for a Swedish M96 that was inlet for a bent bolt? IIRC, it's in pretty good shape, and whoever did the inletting was good enough that it didn't make me shudder when I saw it.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

I don't have use for one, but I still find homes for unwanted stocks.
