American Classic 1911

Has anyone heard any good or bad reviews on 1911's from this manufacturer? Someone is selling a commander length locally for $475.

The ones that I've handled and fired seemed alright. They worked well, and had no major issues. You won't find the fit-and-finish that you do in the more expensive ones, but like all 1911s, if there's something you don't like, you can change it pretty easily.

Other than some machine marks that I felt shouldn't have been there (on some, but not all) and a trigger that could use some TLC, they seem like a good value for the money.
But there ain't many troubles that a man caint fix, with seven hundred dollars and a thirty ought six."
