Most excellent! I hope they expand the trend to all new guns!!
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

Re: new Smiths - sans lock
I've heard from a couple sources that they are just using up a bunch of no-lock frames they had sitting around, so this is a one time limited run. It kind of surprises me that they are specifically advertising these as no lock guns, though. I would think that if they were just trying to get rid of old stock, they would quietly release them without any advertisement. Maybe if they see demand explode for the no-lock guns they will reconsider bringing back the no locks.

Only way I'm buying a new Smith. And I have my eye on a 329PD and a 327PD.

Yes sans locks, but still MIM parts.
Unless they go back to forged parts, I won't be purchasing any.
Am I unreasonable? Maybe, but my butt may depend on my choices and I choose no MIM parts.
I have broken them, I have replaced them for others. I will not use MIM, I will not eat green eggs and ham.

I heard the same thing, from at least 3 different sources, one of them quoting a S&W employee.eocoolj wrote:I've heard from a couple sources that they are just using up a bunch of no-lock frames they had sitting around, so this is a one time limited run.

Hmm... Mom could use a snubnose of her own so she won't have to borrow Dad's... yep, time to get Mom over to the range to get a FOID card, I think.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

I agree with Whirlybird - no MIM parts, please. Fortunately I have all of the Smiths I need and my "want list" is just for more Model 27s and 28s.
