I have always wondered, just how useful is having ambidextrous controls on a weapon? I am always reminded of an answer I read about how left-handed people should shoot the Garand. It was something like "Uncle Sam decided that it was to be shot right handed and many left-handed shooters, instructed by the kind words of their drill instructors, learned to shoot it that way".

But it still uses a Prairie Dog caliber...

Come on, someone had to say it.

Well, if you watch the video, and if they ever actually build it, it's supposedly convertible to 7.62x39, or at least the Magpul version is/was.

Only weapons I ever shot right handed were MBTs and ATGMs. :geek:

I can take or leave Ambi, it all depends on what the application is. In a 1911, nope, on a rifle, sure... I get into more interesting situations with a rifle...

I think they're just waiting to see if Obama is elected and another AWB is passed, as it wouldn't make much sense to build a bunch of semi-only civilian versions if you aren't going to be able to sell them.
