Crimson Trace Taurus PT-99

Post by martini »

Ok, so I was at the gun show this weekend and managed to pickup a pair of crimson trace grips for a beretta92 for only 80 bucks. they are a little scuffed up and were sold in a plastic bag with just the grips, but I'm not complaining for that price. The problem is, I don't own a Beretta, I have a Taurus, and it has a Frame mounted safety, but no decocker. I would have to "modify" ie grind off the left side safety lever and trim the right side of the grips to make it work. I have checked and the screw holes line up perfectly. It would cost me about 40 dollars to pickup a new safety lever should I decide to "unmodify" the gun, but the mods to the CT grips would be permanent.

So, the question, should I get out the dremel and become the only kid on the block to have a Taurus w/ CT grips or should I just toss 'em on ebay or gunbroker?

For eighty bucks I would just carve on the grips.

Carve away.

WECSOG at it's best.

Don't forget to bleed sometime during the procedure.
