I know this will be hard for some of you old guys but, what was your first gun? And do you still have it? Also do you remember when you got it and how old you were?
I know that some of you will not be able to hold back and want to list all three, handgun, rifle and shot gun.
Any good stories will be good too.
Handgun Ruger Single Six Convertable, blued. Still have it. Got it in 1983, I was 19.
Rifle Winchester 94/22 XTR. Still have it. Dad gave it to me in 1976, I was 12.
Shotgun Mosberg 410 pump. It's been gone for years. I got it back in the late 70s and have no clue what happen to it when I went into the Marine Corps in 82.

What was your first gun?
Do not relish to feel what the men that used these weapons felt when they saw the elephant. For the elephant has tusk and to see him is to have his tusk dig deep into your soul. You will always have a part of you that will be cold and empty.
Re: What was your first gun?
Well this is entirely too easy for me since I just got started
Handgun: S&W 627 Performance Center. I know, I'm spoiled. Purchased January 25th, 2008.
Shotgun: Winchester 1300 20 gauge-We've only had this one for a couple of weeks
Rifle: I'll have to let you know when we get one.

Pretty easy for me too, I only have two.
Rifle: Husqvarna boltaction 9.3x57. Inherited from my grandfather, I still have it.
Shotgun: Husqvarna side by side 12ga. Also inherited from my grandfather, and I still have it.
Handgun: Dont have any, still a few months away from getting a license for a .22, so I'm still thinking about it. At the moment I'm leaning towards a Unique DES 69, but that might change before I get there.

Rifle: Remington M33, bolt action single shot .22. Still have it. Gift from the family dentist (a very serious shooter & collector) when I was about 8. Times were different.
Shotgun: Valmet Lion O/U. Purchased late 60s, still have it.
Pistol: Nickel plated Colt Cobra, .38 Special. Purchased late 60s. Gave it to a friend when he joined the PD. When he died, his wife sold off all his guns before I could get to it.

Savage/Stevens model 72, AKA Stevens Favorite. Given by my father on my 10th birthday, my brother has one just like it.
