Turkish Mauser

I succumbed to my lust for nice Mauser-like bolt actions and traded for a 1938 model Turkish Mauser a few weeks back. While only in overall fair condition, it checks out OK with a field gauge and overall it looks to be in good shooting condition (the bore looks really good).

I stripped it down to give it a thorough cleaning and to start bleeding the grease and dirt out of the stock (which seems so far to be a nice piece of walnut). During disassembly I found that the lower band spring was broken. If you know 1938 Turks you know that the lower band spring is held on differently than later Mauser models; the spring is actually pegged into the stock through a cross-wise hole drilled all the way through the forward hand guard. Soooo, I need a new lower band spring.

I thought finding a replacement would be easy. However, Nurmrich and SARCO are both out and don't have any idea when (or if) they'll have any more in stock.

Does anyone know of another source for Turk Mauser stock furniture? Or perhaps have just what I'm looking for sitting around gathering dust?

Thanks in advance!

Once Vaarok checks in, he'll either know, or have an extra.

Thanks for looking, but that piece is the bayonet lug retainer spring (or the upper retainer band, depending on which site you are on). I already have that piece. I went through the buymilsurp.com site and couldn't find what I need, although there is a full lower stock advertised that claims to come with all retaining springs. Not sure I want to spend $49 just to get one spring. The spring I'm looking for is the one that retains this band:

Brain fade, did you ever come across the band spring?
Had the Mauser sitting there and completely forgot, it's been busy here.
