Don't know if this is too far from you, but I found one here. (I don't know the seller.)Yogimus wrote:I am looking EVERYWHERE for a Keltec SUB2000 in either 9mm or 40. Glock mag.

The man who cuts up that, will burn in hell.D5CAV wrote:Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in .375 H&H in relatively non-WECSOG-ed condition.
Seriously.
What did you pay for it? I occasionally look for Pre 64 "H&H" Model 70s(300 & 375), but they always seem to go for stupid money.

The one I picked up (in 40, takes Sig mags) I found on gunbroker. I couldn't find anything else, *anywhere*. Good luck, it looks like the Glock mag versions are in a bit more demand and are a bit more expensive than non-Glock.Yogimus wrote:I am looking EVERYWHERE for a Keltec SUB2000 in either 9mm or 40. They do. I got this one for $1850 at an ELGS (talked him down from $2k). The recoil pad is hard as a rock. It doesn't say "Winchester" so probably an aftermarket add-on, so that needs to be changed out (about $100).HTRN wrote:The man who cuts up that, will burn in hell.D5CAV wrote:Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in .375 H&H in relatively non-WECSOG-ed condition.

It has the stock cut slightly to fit a Lyman peep sight, and the rear sight has been removed and replaced by a slot filler. Finding an original rear sight will be a PITAS, but I insist on BUIS, and I don't want to "burn in hell" by putting some after-market rear sight on the rifle. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
The front sight hood is missing, but those are pretty easy to find.
The filler screws for the scope mount holes appear original and un-WECSOG-ed. Bolt SN matches the rifle. Other than that, it looks lightly used. Serial number says it was made in early 1950s.
As much as I like the caliber, I have too many .375 H&H launchers, but this deal was too good to pass up.

Re: BAG Day '14 Plans
I just checked another box on my wish list. It's a S&W .38 Military and Police "Victory" model:
The only bad thing about it is that someone apparently ground off the U.S. property marking from the top strap some years ago. You can just make out the remains of two of the characters.
The guy I bought it from said it was his father's and it had been in the family for at least 50 years. It has a very nice finish for it's age. It doesn't have the lanyard loop, but it does have the hole for it. It has a pristine bore and a very light single action trigger. It has the original serialized stocks. I have wanted one of these for a while, but I was holding out for one originally chambered in .38 Special instead of .38/200, (or converted to .38 Special)The only bad thing about it is that someone apparently ground off the U.S. property marking from the top strap some years ago. Had I been in your place, I would have felt an irresistable urge to buy it, and then pistol-whip him with his daddy's revolver for being a complete schmuck. What kind of jackass even considers selling something like that?Catbird wrote:The guy I bought it from said it was his father's and it had been in the family for at least 50 years.

You know exactly what kind. Sadly, we all do. I'll bet he was first in line when the will was being read, and that there's a better than even chance daddy wanted that piece to go to somebody else.Netpackrat wrote:Had I been in your place, I would have felt an irresistable urge to buy it, and then pistol-whip him with his daddy's revolver for being a complete schmuck. A little earlier, I mentioned that I wanted an alternate rifle in .223REM; finally saw one at Wal(nut)mart and had to buy it.
It's a Savage Axis bolt-action just like the one I have in .308WIN. It was apparently the last one in the store. There is a new
computerized form to fill out that takes longer than doing the paper form!
On a side note, our local store no longer has shelf-space for .22LR. Just before they removed the shelf labels, the price went to ten cents a round.

Perhaps more of a MAG Day than a BAG day this year
