My older brothers had guns that I shot as a kid,but the first gun I ever bought and paid for on my own was a Remington Nylon 66. Man that was a fine, quick handling, little rifle and nearly indestructable. We got to where we could knock down big dragonflys over the marsh with that piece.

My first handgun bought and paid for was a Colt Police Positive of 1920 vintage. It was a .38 and I remember tramping around in the woods with that bustin clods of dirt and fallen limbs from trees.

Then Dad gave me his U.S.M.C. Colt .45 and all other handguns became unimportant..for a while, about 20 years before I branched out. Now I'm back to collecting and shooting .45's of which I have a few.. ;)
