Funny thing, I've already got this planned out. I'm prepping for a deployment now, and once I return, I'll have a bit of spendy money, and so:
M1941 Johnson, with bayonet
and
WWII M1911
They should be a nice pair.

Be aware that there are a lot of pretty authentic replica Johnson bayonets out there. They're fine for display, you just don't want to pay a premium for a replica. The fellows over at the Johnson website have a pretty good write up on how to tell the difference.JAG2955 wrote:M1941 Johnson, with bayonet
Hope you're able to find a nice '41 Johnson that's not TOO high in the nose bleed price range. They are interesting rifles.

Re: Ah... Wishlists...
I'm a little low on funds as well, after an exhaustive year of buying weapons.
I'm really wanting to complete my cute little mini-collection of WW2 weaponry, I'm still needing
M1 Garand,
Type 38 Arisaka
Model 91 Carcano
In the personal list of weaponry,
SP101 snubnose 357
A Uberti Single action Army in 45LC
AK series rifle.
I'd also like to trade my Glock for a 9mm that fits my hand better, maybe an M&P.
There's an old CETME rifle at a local gunstore that keeps singing to me every time I walk in the door. Its packed full of Cosmoline and God knows what else, I can barely get the bolt to run just from the gunk loaded up in it. Something about it whispers "Clean me up, and I'll love you forever."
As far as mods go,
I'd like a shorter barrel on my 20 guage shotgun. I'm hoping to rig this weapon for home defense.
I'd like to swap the receiver plate on my SKS for one that can mount a reddot sight.
I would like to reblue my 22 rifle, mostly as a learning experiment. It only cost me 70 dollars, if I FUBAR it, I can find another used 22. That probably won't stop me from crying though.
In the realm of "Someone should make that"
I'd like to see Glock come out with a chambering in 5.7x28 mm. Just because.
I'd like to see Keltec unveil a 45ACP SUB-2000 carbine that feeds from XD magazines, or 1911 magazines for that matter.
I'd also like it if Keltec came out with a SU series rifle chambered in 7.62x39 with the ability to feed from AK mags.

I would really like one of those Cobb based 30-06 AR's that was bought out by CDNN. I saw an example that someone had ordered, what a rifle!
I would like one of those M-41 Swedish sniper rifles from Sarco, it's just a little out of reach.
I would also like a XD-45, that one is achievable, I just have more pressing priorities.
That's my wishlist, it is in no way complete, but I just listed the ones that I would have a realistic chance of getting.

I am quite pleased that I managed to snap up a all matching numbered colt with holster, mags and DCM paperwork last year.
As for the XD 10mm, I am halfway through converting an XD-45... I wish the old forums were up and I would post the pics.

Hm... Tricky.
In no particular order...
A .22 conversion for my 1911 (preferably DwightG's, but I'll settle for lesser if I have to)
Colt Python
M1 Thompson
Colt SAA
Levergun of some sort in .45 Colt.

You could always pull them off of the XDTalk thread you made, too.CombatController wrote:I am quite pleased that I managed to snap up a all matching numbered colt with holster, mags and DCM paperwork last year.

Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

Re: Ah... Wishlists...
I still want the the G.I. .50 cal. 1911 clone.
They've got a conversion kit for the Glock 20 or 21. I just wish Springfield had a big enough XD frame for one.
Still have my eye set on a CZ 58.
