I had beautiful cursive handwriting, until I changed grades in primary school and the next teacher refused to allow me to write with a fountain pen ("too difficult for an eight year old"). Writing with a ballpoint ruined my script. The final nail in its coffin was taking notes in university lectures.
Ever since, if I need or want to write something that others can decipher, I use all block capitals, which I can write extremely fast as a result.

That's pretty much the only way I can write anymore, other than signing my name. Once I got out of grade school and realized that the jr. high school didn't enforce use of cursive writing, I abandoned it entirely and have not missed it at all.Denis wrote:Ever since, if I need or want to write something that others can decipher, I use all block capitals, which I can write extremely fast as a result.
