I don't always carry my rifle on a sling, but when I do, I prefer safari carry.

Ohhh. I like the look of that. Might have to get one for testing.

I've done similar wth my K31 at a range full of "tactical" doods. They were not gruntled.

I hear he's known to "them" as "McBlabb", and no longer welcome in the mess.

I have no knowledge of him beyond that first book, but that sentiment is predictable.

Some pictures of a properly adjusted two point sling. You will get lots of stability out of a sling adjusted this way. Note that the quick-adjust slider is approximately where my watch is, as you can't see it in the second picture. It should be all the way forward when you are standing in the ready stance (on target, or eyes right over the sights). Adjust the rest of the slack out of the sling with the keepers. It should be as tight as a good hasty sling.

Okay JAG2955, I'll admit I have no idea what's attached to that barrel and don't care to use google to search with those terms. Is it a SureFire with a flash supressor, mini flare launcher, 20ga mob dispersal unit or what?

Inforce WMLx weaponlight. I just got the mount from here, and I need to go shoot it to see if the muzzle flash will damage/melt it. While my suppressor will fit, I don't know if I would do many rounds in other than an emergency so I don't melt it. I sent Inforce an email to see if it would.

You also see the front BUIS, and my offhand is gripping a Lanco Tactical GripStop. Keymod panels because I've burned my hands on the gas block through the handguard holes.

My left thumb usually goes over the end of the sling, but I moved it so you could better see the sling in the pictures.

Also, properly adjusted sling.

Thanks. It almost looked like "Any Other Weapon" in that first pic...
