How long do you think it will take after Dear Leader Obama's election before there are wholesale bans on weapons nationally, not just "assault rifles". Anyone who does not prepare for that certain eventuality is not paying attention.
Dear Leader will have eight years to wreck everything America holds dear.
This might be a good time to invest in the companies that manufacture PVC pipe..You have to figure that a lot of pipe is going to be stashed in the near future for storage needs.
I'm just sayin. One suspects that their stock will rise in the near future.

Re: Oh Noes!
You don't need the density for shrapnel when the pipe is large enough you can pack plenty of shrapnel inside (small nails, nuts, bolts, short pieces of wire, cut-up pieces of sheet-metal, etc.), so no, drice isn't the only one who thought pipe bombs (especially having seen and dealt with PVC pipe bombs in the past - one time I found two in a car I was impounding, but they had buckshot in them, not ready shrapnel).randy wrote:Since he specified PVC pipe, I'd say yes. Not enough mass density to generate good shrapnel.drice wrote:Oh, Am I the only one who thought you were talking pipe bombs.
If he gets lucky. But I suspect even if he gets elected, he'll be a one-term President, and since Hitlery isn't his running mate, he might even survive his whole term. Many gun owners are just now becoming afraid of what a BO Presidency will do to the Second Amendment.Factfind wrote:Dear Leader will have eight years to wreck everything America holds dear.

Re: Oh Noes!
I'm trying to quit guns for awhile: See "Damn, It's hard to stop!" I have looked up all the calibers I need in the best prices and have broken then down into the cheapest, at about $75- $100 units. Every payday from now until Obama would be trying to ban stuff, about March or April 2009, maybe later if we're lucky, I can get a unit, (200-440rounds) each payday, without a major financial meltdown. As of now, there would be some 13 paydays, (March) or 15! (April) At the lowest number, that's at least 2600 rounds, at the most, 4620.
I am also looking a Saiga 12 Receivers, which would allow a small stockpile without too much cost, and the parts sets could be bought later. If you think about it, if a shotgun is reclassified, it's value will skyrocket over night, but I'm not really into speculation, I'm into Freedom.

Now do the same thing every day for the next week or two, and you'll be off to a good start.Joe ex PNG wrote:More mags and ammo- just picked up a 30 round mag and 40 rounds for the AK today.
Might as well do it now- I perdict that on November 5th mag prices will go through the roof.

So worst case, the wannabe O gets elected, who's the necessary Newt to shake out Congreff in '10? Wonder if Palin would be up to running for the big job in '12? You just know that if Congreff stays donk this go round they'll spend the next two years showing their @$$, it's what they do. So will the Pachyderms be up to calling them on it and making it stick?

1st next, a Saiga 12. It seems like those have more of a chance to get banned faster than anything. Especially because of other similar "Assault" shotguns, the Striker/Protecta and USAS-12.

If the feces hits the fan and it looks like legislation is imminent, I'll do everything I can to grab a couple of .308 Saigas, another AR15 lower, and an AR lower for a .308 caliber variant. I'll have to set aside some money that I was planning on using for my $440,000 spa weekend, though. Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, I fu...

I believe you might have a sticky keyboard, especially when it comes to typing monetary figures. Better check those number 4 and zero keys.workinwifdakids wrote:I'll have to set aside some money that I was planning on using for my $440,000 spa weekend, though. Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, I fu...

He was referencing the AIG execs who had a "retreat" at a spa at the tab of $440000, immediately after we bailed them out.308Mike wrote:I believe you might have a sticky keyboard, especially when it comes to typing monetary figures.
