Nice wood for lee enfield is going to be strictly a custom proposition from a hand stock maker... Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 grand, just for the labor, wood and checkering is going to cost extra.

Technically, and Enfield IS a DBM, butter.. the magazines aren't really meant to be removed - ive heard that they often require fitting...

Go reread what cc wrote - he wanted to convert one of them to 308.. and take M1a mags.

.45-70 probably. And they sell mags for them. Just gotta do the barrel. The other thought was .458 Lott but maybe it is not strong enough.

So what I am hearing is that my conversions stocks are the most valuable part....
