Heh. Well after browsing around the interwebz, my plan (if it ever happens) was to soak it in white vinegar overnight and brush what I could off with steel wool. I have several fine grades from the last gun I re-finished, metal polish, etc. If the barrels are too pitted to be used, replacements are available online, but would have to be hand fitted and then surface finished. (It does appear all the receivers are the same, and the barrels could be changed to a 12 GA set with screw in chokes.) The receiver would be stripped in the same way, along with all the parts, and I'd order all new springs and a stock. I was going to try the new "can-in-a-can" Duracoat. On the forearm I can use a wood finish stripper, and I have oil and wax to re-finish it.SoupOrMan wrote:Couple of scotch-brite pads and that'll just rub right out.
