This guy seems to be pretty much the undisputed master in hard bottom river hunting. Some of his finds would have caused my Grandfather fits.JAG2955 wrote:I think that the suppressor and maybe the Thompson parts may still have been useful.
Super jealous of his metal detector and place to do all that. Maybe this will cost me some money.

Some of the commenters suggested that was probably where a police department dumped weapons they seized and destroyed, and I think that's probably the most likely explanation. I doubt if criminals would have bothered cutting up guns they were planning to dump in a river.Greg wrote:Which is good policy. Between the gov't jackboots and the very bad men those belonged to previously, you do NOT want to be publicly known for possessing, even briefly, those particular devices.

Which is interesting but doesn't contradict what I wrote, even a little.Netpackrat wrote:Some of the commenters suggested that was probably where a police department dumped weapons they seized and destroyed, and I think that's probably the most likely explanation. Maybe we're just jaded, but your villainy is not particularly impressive. -Ennesby

Boy, that first Uzi, easily convertible into an automatic weapon.
The desire of teenaged boys to find hidden treasure has not completely died out in the Wii age.
It really doesn't speak well of the PD if they were the ones to dump this stuff in the creek.

The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
