First impression was an H&R 929 was ass-raped by a Security Six.
I'm not old--It's too early to be this late.

To be fair it looks like the police that are getting these weapons are not THAT kind of cop, but rather regular beat cops who previously had no guns at all.JAG2955 wrote:You don't need much if all you're doing is executing people with a shot to the back of the head.
I was thinking a bit more about this over lunch and came to the realization that in addition to the points I already stated one reason this looks so weird to us is that our country has about 150+ years of handgun fighting tradition and experience while the Chinese don't. They don't know what works and what does not, and they certainly are not going to hire on Massad Ayoob or Jerry Miculek to train their officers and help with equipment selection. They simply don't know what they don't know. If you consider their perspective and lack of experience their choices begin to make a bit of sense, even if they are not really good ideas. Perhaps the Hong Kong Police Department could be of some help in this regard.

Seems more like adding a training problem to a perfectly good piece of hardware.randy wrote:Hardware solution to a training problemDurham68 wrote:A manual safety of any kind on a double-action revolver is as counter-intuitive as humanly possible.Cybrludite wrote: Also, is it just me, or is the safety on that thing set up to be as counter-intuitive as humanly possible?

To the Chinese asking anyone in Hong Kong for help with security would be worse than asking the Americans for help.Kommander wrote:Perhaps the Hong Kong Police Department could be of some help in this regard.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .
