Grandpa Shackleford wants his revolver back and he's pissed. He's sending Owen to your house to pick it up. :o
There must be an end to this intimidation by those who come to this great country, but reject its culture.

Ooooh Nice score! Congratulations.
...even before I read MHI, my response to seeing a poster for the stars of the latest Twilight movies was "I see 2 targets and a collaborator".

Hey, that's my line!

Lucky you, NVGDude. Happy shooting and, indeed, well wear! The magic rockpile is a nice touch...
I always try to give proper attribution. :)
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

I'm on the lookout for some 1/3 moon clips for whenever I actually buy a .45acp revolver. I think that they'd lay flatter in a pouch or pocket than a half moon.

I haven't seen many pictures of them, I'm guessing that they weren't very popular with the M1917-carrying soldiers.

The 1917s were only used with half-moon clips by the military. The 1/3 & full-moon clips are a relatively modern invention.

I've had 2 of the Brazilian contract M1937s for many years. One had a terrible finish, so off to the gunsmith. Barrel shortened to 4", and reblued. The other in excellent shape. All original. Both are excellent shooters.

Enjoy!!

Researching the interwebs this particular piece appears to have been made in 1938.

I have a Colt 1917, and always wanted a S&W for its stablemate. Love 'em.

Huh, I did not know that. Though I do seem to have a detailed picture of an American Rifleman with a 1917 and 1/3 moon clips stuck in my mind.
