If it's a shooter, who gives a shit? Clean it and shoot it.rightisright wrote:Is it a "shooter" that is going to be used and abused? If so, degrease it and rattle-can it.
One step up from Krylon, Rustoleum, etc. seems to be this stuff: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/Search/Pr ... x?pid=1117 I've never used it, so I don't know if it is worth the extra $$. It does get decent reviews.
Really, there comes a time when a tool is just a tool. It's aluminum, don't worry about paint. Or, if it needs paint, just rattle can it.

Brownells has Gunkote in a rattlecan. Not cheap at 30 bucks, but considering what a decent gun/compressor/etc costs..
HTRN, I would tell you that you are an evil fucker, but you probably get that a lot ~ Netpackrat

Dude! that's sweet! on the constructive criticism side, I would offer the following ideas for future painting. Make your light color lines travel in more than one direction. fork them like lightning, or a thorn bush, it will blend in better and confuse the mind for a wee bit longer. your color choices are good, as well as having some high contrast. Good stuff!rightisright wrote:Necro'd to show the quick rattle-can job I did this weekend. I wanted to try a few different ideas. It ended up okay... next one will be better.
If you are unwilling to give another man freedom in his life, do not expect to have it in your own.
It surely beats trying to figure out what the metrosexuals want ( a good hard kick in the nuts in my opinion, but that won't sell ice cream :D )- Highspeed

You could also get a Preval sprayer, and not be limited to whatever colors Brownells puts in a can.HTRN wrote:Brownells has Gunkote in a rattlecan. Not cheap at 30 bucks, but considering what a decent gun/compressor/etc costs..
