i dont know i know that many people hear dont clean their weapon like they should and it still functions. that goes for M16s, M249 SAWs, M240Bs, and M2HBs. in my experience with those weapons they are very reliable and rugged, though we have more problems with the SAWs than anything else and that still isnt very often.
