And, as another said - for the record, the BATFU can request an inspection, but you may require that inspection be held at their office. Typically, they only want to see your 'books.'

After browsing several surplus and C&R forums for the past 3 years, I have only seen one report of an ATF audit of a C&R license holder. His report was that it was at the location of his choice, cordial and painless.

I have purchased so many C&R long guns that my UPS driver knows me. A recent purchase even had the wrong address on it but it had Tom's name on it and it was a "rifle shaped box", so she brought it to Tom's house.
